Important Notice:

During power outages, anyone on a grinder pump must minimize usage until such time as one of the following occurs:

The electrical power comes back on or;
The Township's Operator has a chance to pump your grinder pump by way of a portable generator.

It is against Township policy and Ordinance to hook up an unauthorized generator to your grinder pump.

It has come to our attention that someone in the Tri-Lakes area is distributing a wiring diagram on how to hook-up portable generators to the grinder pump.

If you hook up a generator to your grinder pump during power outages, you may cause a sewer back-up at a lift station or elsewhere.

In the event this happens, you can and will be held responsible both civil and monetary for any damage done to Township or other resident's propriety.

The Township will be purchasing generators for the purpose of handling grinders and pump stations during power outages.
